What is changing?

Sprint Home service is being transferred to the Otis app. You can continue to use all the same services and features you had with the Sprint Home app, including using your existing username and password and retaining your camera settings.

What do I need to do?

Download the Otis app onto all the smartphones and tablets that currently have the Sprint Home app and log in to the Otis app using your existing username and password. After logging in to the Otis app, you can then uninstall the Sprint Home app from your device(s). For the best app experience, we recommend devices with the latest operating systems actively supported on iOS 14 and Android 11.

How do I get the Otis app?

Download the free app onto your Android and iOS devices from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store links.

What if I don't download the new Otis app by February 18, 2021?

After February 18, 2021, you will no longer be able to access your account or devices on the legacy Sprint Home app. To ensure a smooth transition, we encourage you to download the new Otis app now and uninstall the Sprint Home app.

Should I create a new account in the Otis app?

No, do not sign up for a new account in the Otis app unless you want to change emails and re-pair your cameras to a new account.

Can I use both apps (Sprint Home & Otis) at the same time?

No, once you download the Otis app and use your Sprint Home login, your account will automatically be transitioned. You will no longer be able to access your account using the Sprint Home app and should uninstall the Sprint Home app from your devices.

Where are my camera tiles in the Otis app?

After logging into the Otis app you may need to add tiles in the Home section by tapping the + button in the upper right corner of the screen to add available tiles. If you would like to edit the size or placement of the tiles, tap Edit in the the top left corner of the screen.

How do I get the Otis app?

The Otis app is available as a free download on Android and iOS devices from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The app is supported with the latest iOS and Android operating systems for Apple iPhones, iPods, and iPads running iOS 12 or later, as well as Android phones and tablets running Android 9 or later. The app may work with older operating systems, however, it is not recommended.

Will I need to create and verify an account?

Yes, you can easily create an account within the Otis app by selecting ‘Sign Up’. Once you have entered a valid email address and password you will receive a verification link to your inbox.

What if I forget my account password?

That’s Ok, it happens. Use the ‘Forgot Password’ button on the app sign in screen and then enter your Otis account email address to receive additional instructions sent to your inbox.

Can I download the Otis app onto other smartphone or tablets?

Yes, you can download and sign in to your Otis account from any compatible iOS or Android device. Please remember to only sign in on trust devices and only share your account sign in credentials with trusted individuals.

What type of Wi-Fi is required to set up and use my camera?

A strong and reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection (above 5 mbps) is required to keep your camera online at the chosen camera setup location. Your smartphone or tablet will also need a strong internet connection to use the Otis app and services.  

What type of notifications can I setup on the Otis app?

Rules can be created to recieve push notifications on your smartphone or tablet that will notify you know when your camera detects motion. Rules can also trigger event recordings that are viewable directly in the app’s Activity section.

How do I purchase an Otis camera and service?

We can connect you with a certified Otis camera dealer by providing your property details here. All Otis cameras require a service plan managed by our dealer partners.
